  • What is Como Ball?
    A: A youth baseball and softball association offering in-house and traveling baseball and softball options for boys and girls ages 6-15.
  • Why Como Ball?
    A: With the closing of Saint Paul Midway Baseball in 2023, a need arose to provide a quality baseball and softball program to the north end. The Como Ball Youth Baseball & Softball Association was created to fill that void and provide a comprehensive, inclusive and enriching baseball and softball experience for youth aged 6-15 living in and around the Como Neighborhood.
  • Where are Como Ball games played?
    A: Multiple locations in the Como neighborhood will host games, including North Dale Rec Center and Northwest Como Rec center
  • How old does my child have to be in order to be eligible to play Como Ball?
    A: Players should be at least 6 years old and no older than 15 years old by August 31.
  • Are there residency requirements for Como Ball?
    A: No. While we primarily serve families on the north end, we welcome any youth athlete who is interested in building their skills and being a part of our growing program.
  • What equipment does my child need to play?
    A: Como Ball teams will have access to helmets and bats, but players are encouraged to bring any equipment that helps them play their best.
    Required gear: Baseball or Softball Glove. (if you are in need of financial assistance for the required gear, please contact us)
    Recommended gear: batting gloves, cleats, protective cup, sliding shorts, baseball/softball pants.
  • Where can I buy Como Ball apparel?
    A: We'll have a store open soon!
  • When is the Como Ball season?
    A: Summer Games are played June through July
  • When, where, and how long are practices?
    Practices will be held on Monday nights at a location TBD. Practices will be 1.5 - 2 hours long. Schedule will be posted on our calendar.
  • Are there travel options?
    A: Yes. For kids 13 and over. There will be additional fees for league and tournaments play.
  • When does registration open?
    A: Registration opens in January and runs through March. Register here.
  • Are there any volunteer opportunities?
    A: Yes! We'd love your help! Opportunities include Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Field Maintenance, Concessions, Videographer, Photographer, Scorekeepers.
  • When are games scheduled?
    A: Each league will have two games a week. Visit our Games & Practices page to see schedule by league.
  • How many games are scheduled per week?

  • How many games are there in a season?
    A: Teams will play at least 8 games. Complete schedule TBD.
